Many people argue that for God to be the greatest being, he has to be all-knowing and all-powerful but I say that this is not true. Here's why:

I would conceivably say that a person who is ever-present is better than someone who isn't. But there is another requirement that needs to be met that is even more important, and that is the following.

We all know that to be a great person, you need to show love. But to be the greatest being, you need to show as much love as possible.

1 John 3:16: This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

To show as much love as possible, you need to give up as much as you can for as many people as possible. God willed that he should give up his Son for all people, and Jesus gave up his life for all people. God and Jesus both, simultaneously, did the most loving thing possible, and thereby met a requirement for being the greatest possible being.

To be the greatest possible being, or God, you need to show as much love as possible. God and Jesus did so through the Crucifixion.

To receive God, you need to face your biggest fear and will the acceptance of God. Jesus suffered through the Crucifixion, an act of intimacy with us, an act of intimacy for us (very explicit!) and to be with him, and receive God, you need to suffer for Him. The next time the worst possible thing happens to you, ask God to enter you. You will receive joy, and you won't regret your decision. Remember that Jesus and God's infinitude induces suffering in the sense that it causes us to face our fears. His love is boundless. Love is the end of everything, and that is it. The acceptance of suffering is the ultimate wedding night of our marriage to God.
